This is usually the first question asked but not the easiest to answer. Because the cost varies based on the size of the finished piece. The larger the piece, the more the time it takes, and thus the more it costs. The following table shows the cost for various some standard paper sizes, along with the most asked about sizes that I work in:

Because my art is primarily portraiture, I need a certain size to capture the details that I feel are important. I like to work right down to eyelashes and whites of the eyes and smaller sizes don't allow for that. So 11" is the smallest custom order I accept. And also the size given above is the paper size, NOT the size of the subject on the paper. There is white space around the subject so that makes the work space for me even smaller.
It's unlikely. Although I used to attempt it, overall it became too difficult to execute. A good portrait starts with a good reference image, and getting the reference image right for one subject is hard. For two subjects, it's even harder. I've found that the results are more consistent with individual 1-subject works.
For U.S customers, shipping is always free. If you are an international customer, shipping is calculated on an individual basis. Please contact the studio before ordering. Untracked shipping to most European countries is approximately $35 and takes 2-3 weeks to arrive. To have your package tracked internationally (and arrive sooner) can be $55-70
All art comes carefully packaged, shipped flat, and ready to frame.
I've shipped art to over 25 countries including Australia, South Africa and United Arab Emirates - so it's very likely I can ship to where you are.
That depends on my schedule and the time of year. Holidays like Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas are especially busy. But it's usually 2-4 weeks. If you have a time-sensitive or rush order, inquire prior to ordering.
Yes. I will use a photo (or photos) as a reference for your piece. So when you select a photo that you want to use, try and provide me with the highest quality version you have. Uncropped and unresized if possible. And it's always better for me to have several options to choose from and get an idea of the personality of your child.
When possible, try to select photos with a good balance of highlights and shadows. Remember - photos have been instagram filtered or are too dark/blurry generally wont work. Photos taken from too far away generally won't work- I need to see all those facial details.
When in doubt just send multiple images and we will settle on one together.
You can of course email a photo or two but I prefer to open a dedicated Google Drive folder for you to upload images. After ordering I'll be in touch with a link to your personal folder.
I consider my portraiture work more of a mixed media illustration. Because although I use primarily watercolor, I rarely use only watercolor. I prefer a mix of watercolor, ink, pencil and sometimes acrylic. It's just a style that suits me.
All original work comes on a thick, textured, 310 gsm acid-free gallery-quality paper. And upon completion, sealed with a clear matte acrylic spray.
So, I almost cried when I saw the picture of the finished portrait. And DEF cried when it just arrived! I love it so much! What a wonderful surprise.
This is awesome. I can't wait to give it to my wife. Fantastic. I'm blown away how good your work is.
Oh my word! These are just beyond words amazing. Literally brought tears to my eyes! Thank you so much! Not only for the amazing work, and the talent of putting my girl's personality on paper-without ever meeting them.
OHHH HOW BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you so much, I love it!!
I cannot possibly thank you enough! You are so insanely talented! The artwork was such a hit. She is obsessed!
